This is a special edition of the StayforVacay.com blog, in celebration of National Margarita Day. Observed every February 22nd, the day is set aside to honor the most popular tequila drink. What better way to celebrate this day, then to highlight some favorite margarita recipes? We checked many resources and found some great recipes. As we searched for the favorite Margarita recipe, we found there were so many tasty variations and everyone had their own favorite, so we decided to just give you a few for you to decide. Whether you prefer it over ice or with crushed ice, there is an option for you.

Classic Margaritas
You can’t go wrong with the classic margarita recipe. It is simple to make with three key ingredients–tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice. The Food Network has a very simple recipe for the classic margarita.
For their recipe, all you need:
- Lime
- Coarse Salt
- Ice
- 1 cup tequila
- 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/3 cup orange flavored liqueur
- 2 teaspoons superfine sugar

Spicy Margaritas
Now if you want to get fancy, there are endless variations of margaritas, some fruity and some spicy. If you like spicy margaritas, here is a recipe you might try. But beware, it calls for chipotle chili powder and jalapenos!
Frozen Margaritas
