During Poconos Fall foliage season, or leaf peeping season as some like to call it, is the perfect time to see the leaves change colors to vibrant reds, oranges and yellow. Leaf peeping season in the Poconos changes slightly each year due to weather and the amount of rainfall. Generally, it runs from mid-September through the end of October, just in time for Halloween fun. The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau monitors the season. They publish the Poconos Fall Foliage Forecast, which shows when and where it’s peak leaf peeping season in the region. The report is updated every Thursday and is posted on their website.
Best Places to See Fall Foliage in Poconos
The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau also recently released the 5 Best Areas to Catch Fall Foliage in the Poconos for 2023. Camelback Mountain tops the list due to the views you get of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. It is estimated that October 20-22 is peak season this year for this region.
